The teaching and research staff at the Department
of Mechanics and Aeronautics of University of Rome “La Sapienza”
works in the following main areas:
fluid–mechanics: numerical and experimental on low and high
speed flows, on laminar and turbulent flows using wind tunnels and
water channels
mechanical measurements for solid-mechanics
structure dynamics of mechanical and aeronautical vehicles
applied and industrial mechanics
flight dynamics
propulsion
The Fluid-Mechanics group at the Department of Mechanics
and Aeronautics of the University of Rome “La Sapienza”
consists of about 15 researchers with specific experience in the
following fields:
promoting, managing and developing research activities from the
theoretical, numerical and experimental point of view on fundamental
and applied investigations in fluid-mechanics as in boundary layers,
jets, wakes, free surfaces flows and on particle-flow interactions
advanced data and image analysis procedures for flow visualisations
and measurements |
