Infobyte is an Italian company that produces software
for Virtual Reality applications in architecture and scientific
visualisation areas. Infobyte has devoted itself for a long time
to the development of the new shapes of communication trying to
bind together techniques of challenge and highly qualitative standards.
The company has been specialised above all in the application of
the most advanced computer science technologies, to the art, the
formation and the television production.
Infobyte has mainly a consolidated experience in the organisation
and set up of multimedia and virtual reality vision centres as shown
in the numerous experiences around the world. Since 1992 Infobyte
has developed a number of experiments in the area of Virtual Reality
as applied to the visual arts, winning international recognition
and attaining a position of leadership in this field. The production
in the very new field of virtual reality requires a modelling phase
aimed at defining the imaginary world with the greatest possible
degree of realism in order to provide it with real time animation
geared to the user's movements, and to develop interfaces providing
the user with real three-dimensional viewing.
Special and powerful hardware and software systems
are being employed, and constitute the most advanced developments
currently available in the field of interactive graphics with very
high resolution as well as peripherals for display and interaction
that are still under development. Infobyte's structure is formed
of verification services independent from the production chain as
well as of a technological area made up of complementary and strongly
cross-linked sectors at the time of the making of a project. Every
sector is in turn divided into specialised technological areas,
which have to maintain technological competence, improve it and
study new advanced solutions during the experimentation phase. Current
research is towards the simulation of human bodies or human bodies
parts in which the possibility to manage the real dimensions is
of fundamental importance (e.g. medical applications and relating
industry). |
